but what scares me, is that after my birthday, August is lurking right around the corner. and that means, gleeps(!), my summer is 2/3 of the way over! i guess to look at it optimistically, i still have 1/3 of it left. but honestly, where has the time gone?
aanyway, since i won't be visiting you on my birthday, i figured i'd just share a few favorite 'before&after' photos of mine. i had considered giving you 16 oddball facts about myself, but thought that this might be more appropriate, seeing i AM a photographer. wouldn't you agree?
probably my favorite from the session with this little guy! the rest of the session will appear on Monday.
before:
and an astounding after:
and of course you should've seen this one coming, a daisies picture!
well.. even though it's my birthday weekend. not much plans are made! going to spend the day tomorrow up in Copper Harbor with some friends, but other than that, nothing exciting. my license on Monday. and Minnesota on Monday as well! that's what i'm looking forward too!
have a great weekend! celebrate my birthday for me, will ya?
toodles!

PS. actually, don't be surprised if something shows up here on my birthday. jus' sayin... :)

i was also curious what editing program you used! your pictures turn out amazing with the editing! is adobe photophop CS5 easy to use? what about cost?

Thank you so much! My heart warms so much to hear those kind compliments. It means so much to me!
Adobe Photoshop CS5 is easy for me to use, but I took a class on it and also know what i'm doing and looking at. It's quite easy to figure out, though, if you DO know what you're looking at. It is quite costly though. We're talking more than $600.
But if you're looking for an editing program that's a much more reasonable rate, i would recommend Photoshop Elements 9 without hesitation. It's just under $100. It's a much simpler form of CS5. It doesn't have all the editing features as CS5, but when i started my business, that is what i used because that's what i had. And i liked it and it worked just fine!

sounds awesome!
also, about photoshop actions...
do you purchase the actions to use in photoshop? it seems i recall you mentioning something about purchasing actions to use?
i'm curious how these work as well!

Yes, I did purchase the actions to use in Photoshop. I purchased my actions awhile ago, and would love to purchase some more, it just isn't fitting into my budget at the moment.
If you email me with the question about actions, I can explain how they work. It would be easier to explain there, if you don't mind! :)
Thanks! Again, my email is bree@simplybree.com
Quick Question.. Who is this anonymous commenter?:)

What kind of editing did you do on these? You lightened them for sure, but it seems like there's something else that is different in the after pictures. Are they a bit softer maybe?
Happy birthday, too.
