hair today, chopped tomorrow!

Monday evening i said goodbye to the ol' stringy spaghetti noodle hair. chopped it clean off. well not exactly clean off, but quite a bit of it was shed. now my hair is layered and feeling wonderful. fresh clean ends, fresh look, new style, everything!

truthfully, i still had thoughts of a perm overpowering my brain, but then my mom picked us up from school on Monday and informed us she had schedule hair appointments. nice, real nice. now i had about an hour to decide what i was going to do with the 'ol mop. when we got to the salon, i voted Lani to go first, so i could still think. i looked through books until i found one i liked, and thought about what you guys had told me to do. (thanks by the way! it helped!) when it was my turn i tried my best to describe what i was imagining, and she did a pretty fine job of capturing it, if i do say so myself. 

so here goes! BEFORE: the old mop. the stuff that hung like limp spaghetti. the stuff i was trying to grow out.

AFTER: the new look. the layers. no split ends. up to my shoulders. i'm not complaining! (in fact, i think i should've done this LONG ago!)

so there you are. sorry this second picture isn't exactly top notch. it was windy outside (which isn't ideal for taking photos in attempt to capture hairstyle) so this was taken in our living room in front of the window. and what in the world do you do for acne? i swear i've tried everything! (including toothpaste like back in sixth grade. right now i'm using aloe activator, doesn't seem to be working either.) please fess up if you know some magical cure! 

now it's a total of 2 days until Minnesota! getting mighty excited!!
