suicide hill.

we were in our house but a few days when the boys were out exploring and they found a hill. they named the hill 'suicide hill'. and since boys will be boys, my two brothers brought their bikes down it many a time, rollerblades and skateboards have gone down it too, i'm sure. suicide hill gives you quite a thrill, i guess.. well according to a 10 and 7 year old anyway! i personally haven't taken a spin down the hill!

the story goes like this:

(Keegan's story)
Aleta was going down suicide hill when her bike started wobbling violently. she tried to gain control, but unable to do so, her bike turned sharply to the left and splat, down she went on her face!

(Aleta's story)
Keegan brought me to try out suicide hill. i peddled my bike to the top, and then turned around to come back down. as i was going down suicide hill, my bike started to wobble and i got a little bit scared. then it kept wobbling and then all of a sudden i hit a bump. the bump made me fall off my bike and land right on my face. it hurt!

and let me tell you, when she came in the house, her face was covered in blood. she was in pretty rough shape. so after getting cleaned up and getting some ice in a baggy in hopes to keep her swelling down, she laid on the couch where she zonked out pretty quickly!

so if the name of the hill didn't say it all, then i'm not sure what would. that hill seems to be a scary one, i tell ya. haven't seen it in person yet.. but someday.

oh.. and just so you're aware, if you ever have the urge to head down suicide hill, you must wear a helmet, knee pads, elbow pads, the works! a pillow on your butt even, if that makes you feel safer! that is the rule!

so anyway.. anyone up for a spin down suicide hill with me? anyone?

toodles!

PS.. happy leap year!:)

Oh! poor girl! it looks like she took quite the tumble... The boys named the hill appropriately I would say... Hope she feels better soon.... Marlys

Poor girl! Reminds me of when Shawna went down a hill and crashed into the school - 17 stitches later! I happened to be talking to your mom on the phone and Janessa came in and said "Shawna fell off her bike" I casually said "Tell her to come in" not thinking it was any big deal. All of a sudden I see the neighbor helping her home holding a towel to her face and decided I had better go see what happened. Tell Aleta I hope she heals quickly! Joleen
